XBox One : not only games but exclusive contents from Hollywood

In this article it’s higlighted what s Microsoft next step, for the XBox One. Ballmer is trying to involve Hollywood to supply contents to offer through the XBox One. Now that the “classic business models” based on pc production and Windows OS are in crisis, Microsoft is differentiating the marketing strategy in the hope of regaining ground against the competitors ( Apple and Google ). One of the next market battlefield is the living room and here Microsoft is a pioneer exploiting Kinect technology for voice and gesture recognition. The XBox One will be an hub to enjoy many contents , which will be offerd by all producer capable to have a strong presence in internet. Exept for the powerfull graphic unit , this device is , more or less a standard PC ( much less poewrfull of a mainstream , upper level PC ).

The convergence which will distinguish the XBox One will open a vergin market for new apps to be enjoyed not in mobility but in the living room. And there will be a brand new approach because there ia a new way to interact with technology: one big screen ( the TV ), and multi users ( sit on the couch ).

But will be very interesting to ascertain that all those and next funtions which will be offered , are easily performable by ….a common , normal PC!!! The ideal device to run all kind of sw and apps to enrich the user experience in the living room.

For this main purpose, ComputArte is proposing PC like furnishing accessory and even piece of Art. Another important reason to choose a fully powerfull pc in the living room, it’s to protect your own privacy and security , having all the inputs and data processed and stored locally, instead on a server of a third party which can easily spy everything ( cloud ).
