Ballmer ( Microsoft ) admits the mistake, ma…

In this article on the Corriere Delle Comunicazioni Ballmer he claims to have missed the smartphone "train" and to have concentrated too much on windows pc.

But his admission of guilt is not convincing, in light of the fact that if he had focused only on windows PCs he would never have decided to adopt a touch approach with a tablet interface, as built for the Windows Operating System 8.

Further proof is the fact that the 8.1 will report some typical features of desktop systems ( it is. the "start" button ).

In light of the market results and the success of all mobile tools, what decreed an almost "hole in the water", it was the desire to maintain a vague position… straddling smartphones / tablets and classic PCs.

Indeed with a view to innovation, the opportunity to bring news to a stale sector like that of PCs was lost, mimicking the approach for mobile instruments ... and the result is there for all to see and on Bill's desk, who saw the resignation ( more or less spontaneous ) by Ballmer.

Microsoft has built its success with desktop operating systems.

In a world that is turning towards mobile, not having diversified, has meant decreasing.

But this does not mean that Macrosoft is over ... still a lot of water will have to pass before giving up the desktop pc segment for lifeless.

Each tool has its own ideal field of use with possible overlapping areas.

What we have witnessed with the explosion of mobile computing, it was an important downsizing of the classic PC, and a birth of tools able to satisfy old and new needs on the move.

But if the pc industry has seen this remodeling, it does not mean that it is destined for extinction..

... on the contrary ... it means that it will be even more necessary for non-mobile uses and perhaps to definitively take off a localized "intelligence", able to protect privacy and security… absolutely underestimated elements in mobile tools.
