Facebook, advertising :frontal attack on classic content producers

Social platforms and OTTs have so many customers and they know ALL their habits , spying on the data and behaviors adopted via the internet that can be allowed “the luxury” to propose advertising equivalent to prime time!

In other words they offer commercials of 15 seconds in prime time, because they know that there are several million users connected online, right between 20 and 21… so what better occasion to propose targeted advertising!?

Let's say that classic producers must quickly realize that the business model adopted so far will not be able to continue to hold up under the pressure of the Internet by OTTs and Telco's that increasingly undermine the primary profit channel : advertising.

It will be a battle of contents , but the quality will win.

In all this epochal change, the focus on the instrument that will allow this revolution still remains vague: several attempts showing flop have been protracted ( Google TV, iTV, cubovision, e vari set top box ).

The next will be Microsoft with the XBOX ONE which will allow an interaction through voice and gestures….but it will only be the beginning of a new battle that will take place in the living room to grab the advertising to be shown THROUGH THE TV.
