October also above the national tax regimes and European

October also above the national tax regimes and European

The Over The Top is placed on top of infrastructure providers and content producers classics, something for which are denominated October.

But this definition fits well with tax strategies that take these subjects outside Europe, going to get around the taxes, instead, are forced to pay local operators.

Google has candidly stated that the tax rate that reflects on its profits of the billionaires 20%, when any company operating in Europe is having to pay between 44% and 56% !!!!

We are faced with a striking example of unfair competition and oligopoly that can only worsen the economic situation in Europe.

If legislators and supervisory bodies begin to monitor and enforce the laws that provide for the concept of permanent establishment, avalleranno this nefarious strategy of those who exploit loopholes and artfully thought-systems for not paying due.

There are those who assume that this situation is perfectly legal ( article on Key4biz ) but leaves a flawless fact: a company that generates profits and therefore profit, selling services and / or products in a given territory, can not only declare a representative office or a turnover that identifies a small office subsidiary ...

If customers are resident in a given territory, and the seller offers and concludes sales for products and services that are consumed by these same customers, MUST be paying taxes locally!

The French Government, followed by the German, was the first to identify the problem and started to act imposing taxes that favor the local publishing.

Even outside Europe there is someone who is moving to curb the excessive power of Google , even denounced by Microsoft for unfair competition in Brazil ( news on the Courier Communications )

But the main problem remains of an incontrovertible fact: a company that pays lower taxes, is able to accumulate cash that is reinvested to increase the presence on the market at the expense of competitors who are shrinking profits and therefore investment in order to compete.

Furthermore, there is the serious problem of semi-legal invisibility that some of these operators are able to exploit, although reported as abusive.

First of all the case Tripadvisor ( Former Expedia ) which continues to operate in total disregard of the supervisory bodies while being totally invisible from the point of view of taxation and legal.

It 'high time that the old Europe to wake up to avoid collapse!
