How useful would a technology be able to help the user in choosing genuine food products?

In a market increasingly dominated by indiscriminate profit logic ( undeserved ), the consumer who buys food, is aware of food fraud and the sophistication of food and drink only to "damage suffered".

Let me explain: only through investigative broadcasts proposed on classic TV or through a targeted search on the internet ( ... by browsing well beyond the 4th page of the results returned by search engines ... ) you are aware that the oil passed off as Extra Virgin Olive Oil is nothing more than a blend of purified and deodorized industrial oils with a minimum amount of vegetable oil, that the ham purchased is not the product of a natural supply chain , but polluted by chemical-hormonal procedures, that frozen fish has undergone thermal changes which have increased its bacterial load exponentially, that the wine bought is only a mixture of flavored chemical components etc. etc..

 

For an industry expert, identify food fraud, however complex, it wouldn't be difficult.

Despite the commitment of the police who control the producers and products, the end user is almost helpless in the face of these food manipulations that affect the state of health.

 

But technology can give great support to raise the balance of the quality of food and drinks and , Consequently, reward honest producers and displace those who make money by cheating and abusing names, denominations and references more or less direct to the original and Italian product.

 

The technology of the electronic nose allows to chemically profile a chemical substance and a mixture of substances, sniffing it. The electronic nose is all the more complex, the more the "chemical photography" from the objective compound will be suitable for reality.

 

This technology can identify unique and distinctive characteristics of food products, the result of typical Italian tradition and technology.

In other words, it would mean being able to benefit from a food expert and enologist, able to “help us choose the original”.

In a global market, where the pursuit of quality , of the good and the beautiful, it passes many times for the declination of the Italian tricolor, protect producers and the values ​​matured by generations of agricultural producers, cattle breeders, winegrowers and all those who participate in various capacities in the creation of Italian food added value deserve to be defended and distinguished from those who want to steal its reputation and reputation in order to compete unfairly on the market.

This technology, if properly managed and updated, it could allow for a more competitive market, and greater health for ALL consumers.
