Convergence: a fate that sees TV at the center.

Even in the presence of the second screen phenomenon ( "Second screen" for Anglophone lovers ) that sees the user sitting comfortably on the sofa in front of the TV with a smartphone and a tablet connected to the network in hand, TV "premature death" predictions are far from happening ( in this regard it is interesting to read this article on Key4biz )

What the user does with it,while watching TV: comments on social media and does research related to what he sees.

A convergence that heralds a possible and desirable fusion of technologies.

A smart television, but not data thief would be even more so.

But this eventual problem has already been encountered, beyond 3 Years ago(!) and brought to the attention of the public with a class action against LG's Smart TVs that worked even when the screen was off, to send the collected data on the view of the channels and on some "unpleasant" features such as the activation of the integrated web cams, from the remote…

As in many other sectors, there may be several ways to achieve the same goal.

One of these is to choose a technology capable of protecting and respecting the user's privacy.

A PERSONAL computer is sufficient, connected to the TV.

If then this were able to offer a natural interface ( with voice and gesture recognition ) the “digital divide” that characterizes all those users not used to managing operating systems would be overcome.
