The spy in the pocket: anti-privacy cell phones

Even the New York Times invites you to turn off mobile phones at the entrance to shops so as not to be spied on.

In this article describes how some store chains use mobile phones to spy on behavior in the choice of products and which characteristics influence their choice ( color size, style ).

We have come to a very worrying reality: US traders such as Nordstrom, Benetton, Family Dollar, Cabela's and Mothercare have simply equipped themselves with technology that is able to use the sensors and memory of smartphones to track the movements and discover the tastes of all those who pass through their stores.

To think badly, one could hypothesize a desire to offer technology that can be activated by third parties to spy on all users of a tool that until a few years ago was considered private ... and which is now only based on the price that the individual pays and not for functions and the guarantees it should offer.

The well-thinking , with little critical spirit , instead they consider this technology an epochal step forward in which anyone can find useful information in real time ... but where does this information come from?? Who controls them? Who "orders" them? who verifies its conformity and truthfulness?

Let's go back to the bomb on a real and concrete problem of the network: the true neutrality and reliability of the same?!

Who controls the OTT?

Which OBJECTIVE criteria and rules are used to list the results of a search?!

In short, we are facing a sad scenario: we pay for a technology that can be activated by a third party to spy on us, without our knowledge or more or less explicit permission and absolutely non-objective and reliable information sources!
