Unfair competition: OTTs do not pay reasonable taxes

When you compete in a free and fair market, the various subjects all start and act with the same rules.

This would allow to bring out the best who offer the best product or service at the most advantageous conditions, and for this reason be rewarded by the market.

This is the fairy tale that they teach in the faculties of economics and in all those that follow, they re-propose concepts of market economics.

But the reality is very different due to the corruption of politicians, of institutions and control bodies that close their eyes and ears not seeing abuses and illegitimate and illegal behavior.

….or at best, justifying them in the light of laws “international” which are offered to extra-national subjects who are able to take advantage of better conditions compared to medium and small local subjects ( always excluding the big companies that behave like non-European companies!!!).

In other words, these extra European or extra national subjects, not paying taxes, manage to compete unfairly obtaining economies of scale unattainable by local competitors and unrivaled profits.

In this article you can read some numbers that make you think: Google paid in the 2012 2,5 millions of Euros for revenues ( underestimated ) of 52 million euros.

Let's do two calculations for “make up the accounts”, as if Google were an Italian or European legal entity and paid taxes appropriately.

Suppose that the tax rate was of 33 %, would mean that Google, compared to 52 Millions of revenues had costs for 44,5 Millions of euros ( ABSURD !!!!! ) for a gross profit of 7,5 Millions of Euros. Paying 2,5 Millions would have a net profit of 5 Millions of euros. Virtually a 10% net profit rate…But to whom they want to give it to drink?!?!?!

Amazon paid 950.000,00 Euro, Facebook 132.000,00 …. in short, numbers from small companies, while they are giants!

There is obviously something wrong with the system.

And it is not enough to say that opening a local office in Ireland is enough to avoid paying what is owed, otherwise it would be a solution within everyone's reach…which is not true!

Because Italian and European companies have to pay almost everything , while those who are emptying Europe of ideas, and competitiveness ( not only by not paying taxes, but also by spying on strategies and data ) continues undisturbed in the face of the proclamations of the institutions , control bodies and our dear and efficient politicians?!
