Dear Editors,

I am your reader and I could not miss this article on the legacy of the Great Adriano Olivetti ( http://www.ict4executive.it/executive/approfondimenti/adriano-olivetti-un-eredita-preziosa-e-sempre-piu-attuale_43672152889.htm )

I agree with what you write, but allow me to state that Adriano Olivetti was, and remains, a protagonist for several orders of magnitude, unmatched by any of the characters who are extolled by many sources ….incluso Steve Jobs.
Unfortunately, in a world of superficial and easily piloted information, exalt the one who walks in a world of lame people, without seeing the real athletes, it has become routine and habit.
Know the history and evaluate the real protracted efforts to create REAL innovation, it has become art for the few.
Olivetti frightened all those who today boast of “to be” l’ICT.
Olivetti was the first to understand that technology had to be anthropocentric… that the utility function had to be tangible to the user….that only a real increase in satisfaction during use, in ergonomics, and in the improvement of working and living conditions , they were the only parantri to produce and propose USEFUL technology!
The disappearance of a genius like Olivetti, has produced a market as we are experiencing it today….the opposite of what could have been and that …it should have been.
Today technology is self-referential and has the aim of depersonalizing those who use it, for the sole purpose of profiling its uses and consumption…
We witness the Cloud pradigma which is nothing more than a cunning move to spy without committing the crime of data theft, ma “only” breaking privacy.
Big data gibbers just to disguise a continuous and unregulated espionage that is dramatically increasing the power of a few to the detriment of all others.

Adriano Olivetti's legacy can no longer remain just a letter “sophisticated” for the palate of a few.
It must come back to life and be shared with everyone.
In a country like ours, where is the 99% of those who pride themselves on innovating, is working to increase the credibility of a carefully designed platform for unfair competition and misleading advertising, we have to get back to talking and MAKING products, and not mobile apps!

Friendliness
